Jagdamba Oldage Home Of AACI

Empowerment is the process which confers power on individual over their own lives, in their society and in their communities. For empowering Indian woman, our Indian constitution endorses equality and protect their rights with Article 15 and Article 16 as fundamental rights. Inspite of that due to poverty, family disputes, endemic diseases & poor maternal health care, all are contributing in turning a large numbers of old aged woman’s into impoverished every year. There is comprehensive and prominent lacking of health, nutrition, & caring services for indigenous old aged women . Many elderly women in India suffer from poverty, isolation and social exclusion. who are neglected by the families.To achieve women empowerment, the AACI has initiated comprehensive program to safeguard, health, rights social security rights, economic security and safety of woman and has established old age home for women at Vizianagaram Andhra Pradesh.

Old Age Home offers a safe, hygienic & comfortable living for 10 elders. We sponsor food & clothes with donations for the 10 elderly aged 60 to 90yrs. After the home support they are free of the feeling of isolation. They are now with a group in the home with happiness in sharing their thoughts and problems each to other.One of our AACI members Sri Prasada Rao has given his building, free of cost, on lease for 40 years to trust to run this old age home for women. We also run tailoring centre for girls a same place .
